平成14年2月15日、区議会の全会一致決議に基づき、区民一人ひとりの人権が性別などの違いにかかわりなく尊重され、その人らしく暮らしていけるまちを実現するために、豊島区は「男女共同参画都市宣言」を行いました。
この宣言は、区民の皆さんとともに、男女共同参画社会の実現に向けて取り組んでいく決意を表明するものです。
今後、この宣言を契機として、シンポジウムや講演会などの記念事業を実施していきます。
豊島区男女共同参画都市宣言
副都心の‘にぎわい’と豊かな歴史の中で、
多くの芸術、文化をはぐくんできたまち。
性別や世代、国籍の違いを越え、
多様な人々が暮らし、働き、集うまち。
わたしたちは、お互いの人権を尊重し、
活力と輝きに満ちた豊島区の実現をめざし、
ここに「男女共同参画都市」を宣言します。
女[ひと]と男[ひと]一人ひとりがその人らしく
性別などの違いにかかわりなく、お互いの個性を尊重し合い
自分らしく生きたいという気持ちを大切にしていこう。
分かち合い助け合い
家庭、職場、地域それぞれの場で出あう喜びや困難は、
分かち合い、お互いに助け合おう。
ともに暮らしたい豊島のまちで
誰もが健康で安心して暮らしていける、そんな願いが
実現できる豊島区をみんなでつくっていこう。
豊島区民として地球市民として
男女共同参画、平和、地球環境の大切さを、豊島区から
世界に向けて発信していこう。

Toshima City Gender Equality Proclamation
With its hustle and bustle and rich history as a subcenter of Tokyo, Toshima City has greatly nurtured the arts and culture. Extending beyond differences of gender, age and nationality, ours is a city where various kinds of people live, work and gather. With respect for the human rights of all, we work toward creating a Toshima City full of vitality and light, and do hereby proclaim Toshima City a City of Gender Equality.
Let each and every person live true to themselves
Mutually respecting the individuality of others without regard to gender or other differences, let us treasure the desire to live one’s life on one’s own terms.
Mutually understand and help one another
Let’s help each other and share the joys and hardships we encounter at home and in the workplace and the community.
Toshima City, where we all want to live together
Let us work together to build a Toshima City in which everyone can live in health and security.
As citizens of Toshima City and the world
Let us proclaim the importance of gender equality, peace and the environment from Toshima City to the world.
